New Mariah Music Come At Me Please
Mariah Carey (my most favourite singer/artist in the universe)
has a new album coming out soon to which she hasn’t alluded to the release
date.
Apparently her newest album is a return to her old 80’s and
90’s sound and she/her management team have been dropping hints of names of
songs and a ‘secret’ video shoot recently.
I have played all of her albums to death and am really
hanging for a new one that I can then too play to death.
Patience – I need it.
Patience – I don’t
have it.

Miss Keys!
I feel incredibly blessed to have seen the extraordinary Alicia
Keys perform live last night. She has been one of my most favourite artists for as long as
I can remember and the concert was a true ‘pinch-myself’ moment. I am still in my “Alicia Keys” bubble today and haven’t come back
down to earth just yet. ♥

Even when I'm a mess
I still put on a vest
With an S on my chest
Oh yes
I'm a Superwoman

Stay triumphant, keep on living...♥
Can't fall down, stay triumphant, keep on living
Stay on your toes
Get off the rope
Don't let 'em ever count you out
Realize all things are possible
In your heart who's the greatest
Reach for the stars
Be all that you are
And make 'em all fall down
Stay on your toes
Get off the rope
Don't let 'em ever count you out
Realize all things are possible
In your heart who's the greatest
Reach for the stars
Be all that you are
And make 'em all fall down

I LOVE Mariah Carey.
Mariah has got
to be one of the most gifted vocalists in the world and I have ALWAYS idolised
her.
I know every lyric of every song she ever recorded (almost)
and I seem to identify her music as the soundtrack of my life so far. I don’t know how many times I have jumped
around singing such songs as ‘Honey’, ‘Always Be My Baby’ and 'Butterfly' but it has been a few - or perhaps a lot.
ANYWAY the point I am trying to get to (eventually) is that
she is rumoured to be heading to Australia in the near future and I am beyond thrilled at the mere prospect of that rumour.
The slight chance of her gracing Aussie shores to tour is enough to
send me into girlish excitement overload. I am constantly on Twitter waiting
for updates and the green light that is
ACTUALLY happening.
Please Universe - let it be happening... :)

Just take my hand and hold it...
Today this song came on the radio as I was driving my car.
The lyrics are just so beautiful to me. ♥

Day #29: This is my song
I love music. So many
songs have been so inspirational to me for many different reasons. One
song that I adore so much right now is 'Paradise' by Coldplay.
A
life without an eating disorder is bliss. And it's not until you
have really struggled so greatly and then find yourself in a time and
place where you are well and free that you really begin to feel that
'Paradise'.
It is a feeling I cannot explain so I will let Coldplay do it for me...

Just me, myself & I
What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger) is a song written and performed by the beautiful Kelly Clarkson (about some silly man who broke her heart). Funnily enough this song made me think about the difficult time I’ve had with an eating disorder and the truth of what doesn’t kill you does indeed make you all the more stronger. The general message of the song is to be a fighter and relishing your freedom from what is a negative influence on your life, be it a deadbeat guy or perhaps an ED. I just love it!
"What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger)"
You know the bed feels warmer
Sleeping here all alone
You know I dream in color
And do the things I want
You think you got the best of me
Think you've had the last laugh
Bet you think that everything good is gone
Think you left me broken down
Think that I'd come running back
Baby you don't know me, cause you're dead wrong
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger
Stand a little taller
Doesn't mean I'm lonely when I'm alone
What doesn't kill you makes a fighter
Footsteps even lighter
Doesn't mean I'm over cause you're gone
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, stronger
Just me, myself and I
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger
Stand a little taller
Doesn't mean I'm lonely when I'm alone

I am free
Once I was a prisoner
Lost inside myself
With the world surrounding me
Wandering through the misery
But now I am free…
Free to live
Free to laugh
Free to soar
Free to give
Free to love
Free enough to fly
Once I was all so alone
But now
I am free

Greatest Love of All
On Sunday I logged onto my computer to find that the incredibly talented Whitney Houston had passed away. Her music, especially this song:
has always been such an inspiration to me.
R.I.P Whitney - a true legend gone far too soon.
